Why is home staging important?
Home staging helps buyers picture themselves living in your home, which helps you sell your home for a higher price point and more quickly when this service is offered. According to the National Association of Realtors, 58% of buyers’ agents say home staging had an effect on most buyers’ view of the home most of the time, and 81% said staging makes it easier for a buyer to visualize the property as a future home. And in a 2021 survey of 4,600 properties, homes that were staged sold approximately 9 days faster than the average days on the market.
What rooms or areas do you typically stage?
We stage each room of a home! Areas like living rooms, dining rooms, and bedrooms will need more furniture and décor than other rooms, but it’s still important to properly stage kitchens, bathrooms and outdoor areas. Potential buyers need to picture themselves cooking in your kitchen or relaxing on your patio too!
According to the National Association of Realtors in 2023, the most common rooms that were staged included the living room (91%), kitchen (81%), primary bedroom (81%), and dining room (69%).
Can I still live or be in my home while it's being staged?
We do not offer occupied staging. If you are still living in your home when you are selling it and need staging services, we recommend booking a staging consultation.
How long does the staging process take?
The staging process typically takes anywhere from a few hours to a few days, depending on the size of your home and your needs. If our team needs to bring more furniture or other accessories – it may take longer.
What happens to the furniture and decor after the home is sold?
We typically remove all furniture, décor and any other items we brought to your home within a few days of the home being sold. If you love the furniture or décor so much (or your buyer/renter does), let us know and we may sell to them.
Can you work with the existing furniture in my home?
We may be able to work with some of the existing furniture in your home if it meets the selected palette and design choices that we believe will best sell your home.
Do you stage homes for rental properties, or just homes that are being sold?
Yes, we stage both rental properties and homes that are being sold! Staging a rental is just as critical for attracting the right renters and increasing the rental value as it is for selling.
How far in advance should I schedule a home staging consultation?
We recommend scheduling a home staging consultation as soonas you’ve started working with a realtor to sell your home or a listing agent to rent it. Even though you may not need staging services for a couple months at this point, we book up spots sometimes months in advance.
